Reiki
Reiki is a healing practice founded by Mikao Usui in Japan over 100 years ago. Treatment involves a series of non-invasive hand placements either on or above a fully clothed individual, creating a connection that supports the recipient's natural healing process by enabling the free flow of 'ki' (energy or life force). This gentle vibrational technique promotes balance and well-being across all aspects of the human experience: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
The National Institutes of Health recognizes Reiki as a form of energy medicine that works complementary with other medical treatments and has no known side effects. Reiki is increasingly being offered in clinical settings such as hospitals, cancer care clinics, mental health clinics, nursing homes, and wellness clinics.
Regular Reiki treatments can help reduce and alleviate both acute and chronic pain, accelerate healing after injury or surgery, lower stress and anxiety, improve mental clarity, relieve insomnia, minimize the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatments, and boost the immune system. Reiki can also support you through life transitions and encourage personal growth.
“A secret way to invite happiness. A miraculous remedy for many diseases.” - Mikao Usui*
